Product Overview

Glued to the case? Can't repair Retina battery? LMP "solves" this problem with the new LMP Battery MacBook Pro Retina by not only providing the high capacity replacement battery but also including the right solvent and a set of tools to dissolve and remove the original battery safely and with little effort. The solvent has been scientifically proven to dissolve the glue which is used by Apple to glue-in the battery to the case while at the same time not demaging the hardware parts when applied correctly. With the help of the included tools and replacement guide, the entire removal process is safe, cost-effective and time-saving. The high quality LMP replacement battery can then be installed and glued to the case again for optimal user satisfaction.

Solvent and tools
Although the solvent can be applied safely and has low toxic side effects, we strongly recommend that the removal process is performed by a computer technician or specialist only. It requires a fair amount of skill and knowledge about (Apple) laptop hardware as well as a proper worktop and notebook screwdrivers. Note that the required screwdrivers to open the case and remove parts inside the MacBook Pro Retina are not included.

Tips on how to get the most out of your battery

Notes on battery disposal

With the sale of batteries or with the delivery of equipment containing batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:

You are legally committed to properly dispose of used batteries. Used batteries do not belong in to the regular garbage.

You can return batteries free of charge to the original point of sale or to another collection point. Correct recycling prevents toxic metals entering the ecosystem and allows the recovery of valuable raw materials.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC Reset)

When should you reset the SMC? If you have a problem that requires resetting the SMC, your Mac is probably acting strangely. It may turn on and run the apps you need it to, but some functions will not be working. For example, if your SMC isn’t working correctly, you could experience one or more of the following:
  • The battery or status lights behave strangely
  • Your MacBook doesn’t wake up when you open it
  • The power adapter might not light up or may not indicate charging even when charging is happening
  • Your MacBook won’t turn on
  • The battery doesn't charge
